sunrises and sunsets are one of the amazing beauties of the world...

the other night i captured this sunset... very fitting for the night's event





this morning i saw a gorgeous sunrise...but too slow to capture... maybe another time? (not sure when i will be up that early again this summer?!?! hmmmmm)

i really shouldn't share my secrets that i know how to drive farm equipment! ... it leads to swathing hay!...haha... but that's okay...i didn't mind! (kinda miss cuttin'!)

one of the cool benefits of having an airplane is you can do an aerial check to see how much is left to cut... and how straight you cut it!
it wasn't perfectly straight, but i think i did okay without a GPS!

a new, fresh look

this is what i have been up to...

last year was the first year to get anything established in the front yard... did a lot of "breaking the land" and laid a lot of flat rocks for rock paths (that was a lot of work!)...

this year's goal was to plant more perennials and get it maintained a little better...hence the cedar mulch! absolutely loving it!

still a bit more work to do...

i have done more since these pics were taken, so will update again soon! this front yard project almost complete for this year... on to the next flowerbed project!

cuttin' hay...

apparently this is what happens when you don't cut your grass before you leave for 10 days!

as soon as i got home from stoon, i hopped on the lawn mower, didn't even unload my stuff or change out of my dress clothes! this had to be dealt with!

a week in stoon...

my first week after school was out, i went back to school! i decided to take my accreditation in saskatoon...it was a week long course! besides being my first week of freedom and being stuck indoors for 5 days, it was really good! plus as a super bonus, i stayed with t&j & tegg! thanks for everything you guys! the location of the seminar was superb too...a 9 min walk from t&j's! *bonus*

so now we have a plane... pretty cool eh? when i dropped Doug and Curt off in MJ to pick it up, i have to admit, i was a little nervous. i went to can. tire to buy some new plants and then it was all good! :)

we got this plane in june...can't remember the date tho!

this post is a little late...seems i'm always a month behind on these...nevertheless...enjoy these shots! i want to get some aerial photos of our place very soon! i did not have my camera with me this night, just the BB.
