purple flower...

so yesterday i did my annual thing... i needed exercise, so did the dogs... i have been wanting and waiting to go to the hill and look for crocuses... and there they were!

i remember picking them on the hills at the creek at home... just in time for grandma b's birthday...

such small flowers, such beauty... enjoy these pictures... i find them really neat!

edmonton and all it's glory...

friday consisted of homemade tomato-basil soup and fresh buiscuits...yum! then we relaxed...friday evening we went to a lacrosse game...never watched it before but it was kinda cool! man there's some serious contact in that sport!

saturday consisted of a lovely brunch, erik and lacey joined us. then a trip to hole's greenhouse..wished i could have bought the place! then down to IKEA! after hours(?) of that, the girls went to girl stores and the boys to boy stores! then we met clayton and crystal for supper at moxies! what a day! lotsa fun!

awww...so happy to be married...love your new pad!

and congrats to these 2 love birds...they're tyin' the knot!!! yay!

a nerve-wracking drive...

the morning we were to head to edmonton...we woke up to snow and lots of it! it was very yucky out, but we headed on the road anyways...

it was so icy and windy we were blowing into the other lane! it was not fun...well curt was driving so i felt safe... but we made it safe and sound!

these boys were buds long before curt and i got married... and now they're related! my nephew and curt's nephews...now they're OUR nephews!

tys wanted to stay at our place awhile longer once he heard his buddies were coming down...so these 3 musketeers played and played and played... they had a grande time!

DUG being DUG!

it's pretty cool... when you marry your friend...when you've travelled with your in-laws before you knew they would be your in-laws...when your siblings were already friends with your spouse's siblings before the marriage...when your friends are now related to you... really... it's pretty cool.

on april 4th, some family got together at our house...i took this picture of my sister, sister-in-law and father-in-law...and the above thoughts came to me!

this day was my sister's birthday, so we had some cake...but to add to the occasion, we celebrated my sister-in-law's birthday which was 2 days before and also...celebrated the upcoming birthday of my father-in-law...again...pretty cool!

after swimming...we head to sheldon and jenny's for an awesome bbq supper...then ice cream, then trampoline set-up (i might add it was the kids and the girls who did all the work!), some tea, and some settle down time! thanks again!
