ethnic supper!!!!!

friday, september 17th...

sylvia and i decided we needed a get together... so we planned an ethnic supper... we gave each couple/family a different country and they had to create/prepare a dish from their specific country!!!! we had a great turn-out and the food was FABULOUS!!!

i made vietnamese fresh rolls - with vermicilli noodles, carrots, green onion, lettuce, and shrimp. i didn't have sprouts and now i realized i forgot the cucumber!!! anyways, they still tasted great!


they are served with a peanut sauce - consisting of hoisin sauce, peanut butter and chopped peanuts!

Doug & Arlene from the Czech Republic brought Rizek (breaded pork cutlets)

Joyce from France brought Habish Parementier

Lyle & Leah from Latvia brought Breaded Bull Glands and Rye Bread

as you can see, we had a fabulous feast!!!! it was lots of fun too!

  2. Great pictures and summary of food. I cannot say enough about how delicious each dish was. We have some wonderful cooks in this field. There is good food all over the world. Maybe we should make this an annual event as there are many more countries to cover.
