there was a gunshot, a dog who cowered under the truck. we didn't know it.
we took off, there was a thump, yelp and worried looks on our faces.
he seemed fine, he could walk. no broken bones, but we knew he was hurt. we thought he was just in pain. little did we know he was walking and alive because of adrenaline. an hour later or so i found him. not breathing. gone.
it was hard for me to take. that night as i watched curt take him away, i burst into tears. i will never forget the look on thomas's face as i cried.
so long, good friend. you will be missed around here.
