from 0 to 3 in the blink of an eye...

so we have 3 kids now...got them thurs night, but have to ship them back home on monday... we are having a blast... after picking them up, we went to the library, picked up some books, went grocery shopping...then on home to make pita pizzas! yum yum! then to play with the dogs, play catch etc etc...lastly we played "what's yours like?!"...what a hoot...i will never forget tilynn describing something..."it kinda looks like a chicken finger!"...totally threw me off...i think i lost the game!

we had a blast the first night...and there is still so much more to do!

so last saturday we are visiting the hobby shop and all its family and clients and fun. we enjoyed a lovely chili supper and afterwards while the boys did their "thing", the girls decided to go for a walk with the kids and dogs...we went to visit some very lovely and friendly horses! (not sk snobs might i add!!)

this was fun, caused a few chuckles! i used to do this to our horses...man i kinda miss that...maybe some day we'll get some?!?
(i actually wanted to be a dentist - before i became a teacher! maybe i still will...some day?!? haha)

okay...i didn't get really excited about curling growing up...
but it's not a bad sport...to watch anyways...
so it's pretty exciting our town is hosting the 2010 world women's curling...

our simple pets...

okay...so people post pictures of their kids on their blogs...but we don't have any...so i thought i would share some of our pets...around our place we go for simplicity...yes we go for simple things in life, but more so, the point i am trying to make is our pets are funny...really funny...really strange sometimes...but we love them just the same...and even more because of their goofiness and ability to make us laugh and shake our heads (at the same time!)

i guess it's those situations where you "have to be there", but those of you who know our pets, know what we mean...

EBONY (other names - geezer dog, eb, ebby, eboneezer the geezer):

refuses to come in the house or go in the back of the truck, loves to go for walks...she never misses a beat, and is right behind me if i only walk. she's not a big fan of the cats, and wasn't a big fan of murphy when he came. she has had to put up with a lot with murph and has learned to stand her ground. she's afraid of guns and water. she gets so excited and scratches you on the bare legs, she walks basically under you, so you trip the whole way where you're going...she is getting older, so we don't know how much time she has left. she does well for her age, and has been a joy to have around!

MURPHY: loves to bug anyone including the cats...loves to chase them, if he can. murphy loves people. he would get in the vehicle (as you are trying to get out when you get home) if you would let him. he hears you coming for miles...he jumps around waiting for you to park your vehicle! then he would love to knibble on your hand...it's just his way of saying "hi"...he doesn't mean any harm.

he loves to do tricks...shake a paw, low "five", high "five"..sometimes with both paws, and many other tricks we have taught him. he was an interesting puppy, bad and into everything, and for the last year or so...we have seen the biggest change in him! he is such a great dog!

he's a grunter...again, his way of saying hi... loves to give you the "puppy dog eyes" and is just a load of fun. on walks, he is long gone ahead of eb and me, going on his own adventures, chasing deer or looking for gophers! he never plays out!

his other names: murph, murphy-terd, h-dog, father murphy (that's what my dad calls him)

and here is MISS PRISS...

this poor goofy thing...well...as they say, cats have 9 lives...she is down to 6!

Life 1: not long after we got her, she went missing for a day

Life 2: we come home to Mr. TomCat attacking her, almost killed her

Life 3: this February, i came home to find her half (or more) frozen-to-death! part of her ear fell off yesterday because she froze it! gross!

needless to say, poor cat, goofy cat, stuck-up cat (according to curt)

i did not plan on writing stories about our pets...but i couldn't resist...our pets are too funny! and keep us entertained until something better comes along! ;-)
