our trip from last week...

okay, okay... i will finally get these pictures posted...we have had a busy time since we got home, so i hope you have had patience! the weekend is here so i have more time...

i will post some, only some(once you see them, you will say "ha ha yeah right!"), pics from our trip to Montreal, Matt and Shell's, Ottawa, Toronto, Mississauga, etc. we did lots in the time we had, it was great!

keep posted, i will post each event separately...

by the way... just want to add...GO CANADA GO!!!!!...the ladies showed the world whose game hockey is, so let's hope the men continue to show the world the same thing!!

yesterday we enjoyed the day in montreal! a cool place to be, but with a sprained ankle, and a damp COLD and WINDY -5 degrees or so...we never got to do what we thought we would do! oh well...driving around was fun, trying to fit in with the crazy quebecian drivers...wow! a little incident by the port we will never forget...

can you believe it was a year since we tied the knot? time flies when you're having fun!

even though we are on the opposite side of canada where the olympics are being held...we are still cheering you on CANADA!!!! let's kick some hockey butt on tuesday! GO CANADA GO!

on the plane over here, we got to see the video of the olympic luge accident...how tragic and sad!

i'm all about the soup...

so i decided to try another recipe...i've had this a few times in greek restaurants and decided i wanted to make it myself... it was sooo soooooo good, it was a hit with the hubby too!

i added a bit of chopped up chicken breast to give it some more flavor and nutritional value....

enjoy...


"Greek" Lemon Rice Soup

3 c chicken broth
2 to 3 oz uncooked regular rice (2 oz makes thinner soup, 3 oz makes thicker soup!)
2 eggs
3 tbsp lemon juice
Dash of salt and white pepper

In 2 quart saucepan, bring broth to a boil. Reduce heat, add rice, cover and simmer until rice is tender, about 20 min. In small bowl, beat eggs and lemon juice. Stirring constantly, add 1 cup of hot soup, a little at a time. Stir mixture into soup in pan and heat. Do not boil. Season with salt and pepper. Serve immediately. Serves 4.

not sure if it is silly to post these...but i am so excited and happy that more renos are taking place!

a year after our other reno's completion, our baseboards are finally on! thanks, dad!

time to take out the chimney and make a linen closet (after losing it with the last reno project)!

one saturday afternoon, i was invited to go watch my niece and nephew play hockey. i hadn't seen them play for awhile, so i thought i should go. they're amazing on ice!!! i think they each scored 4 goals in that game, and they kicked the opposing team's butt!

during our travels during the holidays, we came across this guy (or gal?)...he was really close to the highway. i zoomed in and got these pictures. that same night, we saw another moose...could have been the same one.
